Advocacy Visit and BHCPF sensitization for the Management and staff of the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation
Ag. ES RIVCHPP , Dr Vetty Agala and her team paid an advocacy visit to the Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation to intimate them of RIVCHPP activities especially the enrolment of vulnerable populations who are under the care of the ministry. Dr Agala noted that Orphans and Vulnerable Children in the homes and persons living with disability are amongst those that should benefit from the basic healthcare provision fund. She urged the ministry to collaborate with RIVCHPP to ensure these categories of persons across the 23 LGAs are covered.
In her response, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Social Welfare and Rehabilitation, Dr Justina Jumbo commended the Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara for this laudable project and committed to work with RIVCHPP through their LGA structures to enrol the vulnerable populations. She specially requested that those in the Rehabilitation home be considered.
