On August 12, 2024, the Rivers State Ministry of Health held its first Health Sector Leadership Summit at Presidential Hotel, Port Harcourt. The event, aligned with Governor Sir Siminalayi Fubara's vision, focused on implementing the #Health4AllRivers strategy.
Dr. Adaeze Oreh, Honourable Commissioner of Health, delivered a keynote address highlighting the Rivers State comprehensive health strategy, #Health4AllRivers plan, and its alignment with National Health Sector Renewal SWAp and HSSB.
Dr. Vetty Agala, Executive Secretary (Ag) of RIVCHPP, attended with her management team. During a panel discussion on integrating learnings for effective healthcare leadership, Dr. Agala emphasized the importance of communicating organizational vision, defining roles and responsibilities, and being an adaptive leader. Her insights contributed significantly to the dialogue on enhancing leadership in the healthcare sector.
