Experts in the HIV/AIDS care space on an Advocacy visit to the Executive Secretary, RIVCHPP
The Executive Secretary(ES) received a delegation of experts in HIV/AIDS care space led by Dr Golden Owhondah, the Director of Public health and disease control, Rivers State Ministry of Health.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, Dr G. Owhondah commended the Executive secretary for all her efforts at ensuring UHC, ensuring PLWHIV receive care, also noting that one of the visit objectives was to firm up partnership with the agency.
Dr Agala thanked the team for finding time to pay her a visit. She appreciated IHVN and CDC for their prior support in documentation activities that culminated in the establishment of RIVCHPP. The ES committed to onboarding 1,500 vulnerable PLWHIV into the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund (BHCPF) to ensure they have access to effective and quality healthcare services.
Responding the Project Director of IHVN Dr. Stanley Idakwa appreciated the ES for her goodwill and pleaded for more opportunities to enrol beneficiaries in the future. They unanimously committed to working with the agency to ensure the UHC goal is attained.
