BHCPF IMPLEMENTATION SENSITIZATION MEETING.
Advancing social health insurance in Rivers State! 🏥🌟
On August 23, 2024, the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) held a crucial sensitization meeting on implementing the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund(BHCPF); aimed to help various stakeholders understand their roles and responsibilities within the scheme.
Key participants included the Rivers State Primary Healthcare Management Board (RSPHCMB), Rivers State Ministry of Health, Rivers State Hospitals Management Board, World Health Organization (WHO), Institute of Human Virology(IHVN) and Civil Society organizations. RSPHCMB delivered an insightful presentation on the NPHCDA Gateway of BHCPF, while RIVCHPP presented on Universal Health Coverage and the NHIA gateway of BHCPF. The questions and answers session was very insightful with various stakeholders asking questions and getting relevant answers. All participants expressed their better understanding of the BHCPF after the program.
This event would not have occurred without the foresight, and exemplary leadership of His Excellency, @Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS , Executive Governor of Rivers State, who has demonstrated his commitment to universal health coverage and love for all Rivers residents by approving RIVCHPP's operationalization. This visionary decision has set the foundation for improved healthcare access across the state in his "Health4AllRivers" mandate.
