Religious leaders in Rivers State are stepping up to share vital information about government health programs that can transform our communities! Dr.Vetty Agala, Acting Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), recently met with the Interfaith Initiative for Sustainable Health and Development to discuss the importance of their role in promoting health insurance for vulnerable populations.
With Governor Siminialayi Fubara's support to enroll 100,000 beneficiaries into the BHCPF, there's still a large population of the informal sector that need to be covered! Rev. Nathaniel Luke emphasized the power of religious leaders in mobilizing congregations to participate in this crucial initiative. Also present in the meeting was Alhaji Ibrahim Woke, head of Ja'amatu Nasir Islam in Rivers State.
Together, we can improve health coverage and reduce poverty in Rivers State.
