As the year, 2024, is winding up, organisations and individuals have started planning strategically for the incoming 2025.
In that spirit, Rivers State Ministry of Health, under the leadership of Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh, in collaboration with United Nations Children Education Fund [UNICEF] and World Health Organisation [WHO], organised a 5-day annual operational plan meeting, where agencies and bodies operating under the Ministry had their 2025 plans validated and harmonised.
Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), as an agency under the Ministry, was there at the all-important meeting.
RIVCHPP was represented at the meeting by Dr. Ireju Ajie, and Dr. Juliet Aleme, where the AOP of the Ministry and its agencies were jointly developed and validated, even as its SWOT analysis was done.
The representatives of RIVCHPP at the planning meeting expressed optimism that the year 2025 will bring about increased coverage and reduction of out of pocket expenses for all Rivers residents, even as they expressed gratitude to the Acting Executive Secretary of the agency, Dr Vetty Agala for her continued efforts towards ensuring health for all Rivers, under the strategic leadership of the Honourable Commissioner for Health, Dr. Adaeze Chidinma Oreh.
