RIVCHPP BOSS COMMENDS GOVERNOR FUBARA AND ETCHE COUNCIL CHAIRMAN.

The Acting Executive Secretary of Rivers Contributory Health Protection Programme, [RIVCHPP],, Dr. Vetty Agala,  represented by Dr. Mac-Moses Isaiah commended the State Governor,  Sir Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS,  for the laudable health programmes in the state,  especially the health insurance scheme that is offering Rivers residents the opportunity to access quality health care services without bearing so much financial hardship.

Dr. Agala, who made the commendation during the flag-off of "Project 10M" for the testing of hypertension and diabetes in Okehi, headquarters of Etche Local Government Area,  also commended the Executive Chairman of the Council,  Dr.  Uzodinma Nwafor,  for his dogged support and acceptance of the health insurance scheme and for his desire to have a majority of Etche residents enrolled in the scheme while the council pays the premium for them.

In his remarks at the event,  the Etche council boss appealed to the people of Etche to all get enrolled into the programme and ensure that they visit the health facilities to access care whenever they have the need,  assuring them that all those enrolled in the programme already have their medical bills settled without the people paying from their pockets.

Dr. Nwafor said that the health insurance scheme, which covers treatments,  surgery,  and ceaseran sections fully paid for by the government, is the best gift any loving father can give to his people, thanking Governor Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, for his magnanimity and interests to  bringing about a healthy population in the state.

The Etche Executive Chairman then encouraged the people of the area to come out in their numbers to be part of the enrolment exercise and to always go to the health facilities to access health care,  saying that health is wealth.

The event featured massive enrolment of the different categories of enrollees for the health insurance scheme and free medical tests for non-communicable diseases like hypertension and diabetes.
