RIVCHPP Participates in First Quarter 2025 Forum of SSHIAs held at Abuja, Nigeria to Strengthen Health Insurance Systems
On the 20th and 21st of February 2025, The Executive Secretary of the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Program (RIVCHPP), Dr. Vetty Agala, actively participated in the First Quarter Meeting of the Forum of State Social Health Insurance/Contributory Schemes (SSHIAs) held at Alpha Plus Apartment, Utako, Abuja.
The forum brought together CEOs of SSHIAs from across Nigeria’s health insurance landscape to discuss strategies for enhancing the effectiveness of state-level social health insurance schemes, improving policy alignment, and addressing critical challenges in healthcare financing.
Representing RIVCHPP, Dr. Agala shared valuable updates on the program’s progress in Rivers State, including efforts to expand coverage, improve service delivery, and enhance access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations. Discussions centered around collaboration, data-driven solutions, and sustainable models to drive universal health coverage (UHC) in Nigeria.
