AugustRIVERS STATE GOVERNMENT ENROLS PENSIONERS INTO ITS HEALTH INSURANCE SCHEME.
Rivers State Government, through the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), has directed all pensioners in the state who are verified to be automatically enrolled into the health insurance scheme of the state.
The Executive Secretary of Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP), Dr. Vetty Agala made the disclosure at the Alfred Diette Spiff Civic Centre and Rivers State Ministry of Justice Hall on Thursday, 14th August 2025, while addressing pensioners who came for verification .
Dr. Agala and her team were at the venues of the verification exercise to inform the pensioners that the Sole Administrator, Vice Admiral Ibok Ete Ibas (Rtd), through the Ministry of Health, has directed that by the verification exercise, the pensioners are to access same quality healthcare services .
Dr. Agala enjoined the pensioners to put down the address of where they presently reside so that the agency can properly enrol them into facilities close to them for ease of accessibility.
