INVITATION FOR APPLICATION FROM PRIVATE HEALTH CARE FACILITIES.

PUBLIC NOTICE
Private healthcare facilities are by this notice invited to apply to the Rivers State Contributory Health Protection Programme (RIVCHPP) as secondary providers of healthcare services to its beneficiaries for the following health care disciplines and specialties: Surgery, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Internal Medicine, ENT, Physiotherapy, Ophthalmology, Paediatrics, Radiology, Dentistry, Laboratory Services and Pharmacy.
Criteria for onboarding of private health care facilities are as follows:
i.Current Certificate of Standards issues by the Rivers State Ministry of Health
ii.Evidence of current professional licensure by all health workers affiliated with the facility
iii.Evidence of Health Data reporting and returns to the local government M & E Officer
iv.Evidence of capacity to collect and report Health Insurance data to relevant local government and State authorities.
v.Adequate number of skilled, semi-skilled and non-skilled health human resources commensurate to the size of the health facility, services offered and number of in-patient beds: at least, three (3) medical officers, specialists in the specialties advertised and offered, three (3) nurses and two (2) midwives, health records staff, administrative and janitorial staff, and other staff as may be necessary.
vi.Dedicated Accident and Emergency facility with relevant equipment, protocols, and triaging systems.
vii.Evidence of Quality Management System (QMS) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
viii.Two-Way Referral Management System.
ix.Medical Waste Management System
x.Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for management of common medical conditions and emergencies clearly located.
xi.Summary of health statistics, disease patterns encountered and mortalities in the last 12 months.
xii.Submission of evidence of payment of the sum of fifty thousand naira (N50,000) as one-time application and accreditation fee as follows:
