Equity Health Plan

The Executive governor of Rivers, His Excellency, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, GSSRS through the  Honorable Commissioner for Health, Dr Adaeze Oreh has graciously approved the following benefit packages as part of the strategy to achieve health for all Rivers people.
 

Secondary Level Care
•    Consultation with prescribed drugs from accredited Secondary Health Care facility.
•    Emergencies occurring outside the usual residence or accredited HCP
•    Admission for maximum of 15 days cumulative per year for medical admission and 20 days cumulative per year for surgical admissions.
•    Treatment and procedures that cannot be handled at primary level but covered with the BMPHS.
•    HIV/AIDS Treatment of opportunistic infections as defined in the HIV Treatment Protocol.
•    Paediatrics
•    Internal medicine (Adult)
•    Obstetrics and Gynaecology - Basic and Comprehensive Emergency Obstetric Care
•    Surgery
•    Dental care - Simple and surgical tooth extraction for medical reasons without complications
•    Ophthalmology - Eye problems, e.g. major trauma, pterygium, glaucoma, cataract extraction and other simple ophthalmological surgical procedures
•    Ear, Nose & Throat
•    Physiotherapy
•    Laboratory investigations
